Loan Mela and Awareness Camp was conducted at Muncipal Town Hall, Malappuram on 28/04/2012. Sri.A.P.Anilkumar, honorable Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes, OBCs and Tourism inaugurated the function. Sri.P.Ubaildulla (MLA,Malappuram) presided over the function. Sri.K.P Mohammed Ismayil, Kudumubsree District Mission Cordinator, spoke on the occasion. Sri. B. Dileep Kumar, Managing Director, KSBCDC delivered the Welcome speech and Sri. Mohammed Haneefa, District Manager expressed the vote of thanks.
Nearly 800 people attended the gathering.  2 Crore was disbursed to 8 Kudumubsree CDSs and 1.60 Crore to 162 individual beneficiaries. 175 loan applications were also sold during the function.
Awareness classes were conducted on BCDC schemes, Micro finance and Importance of Recovery. Sri.Venu Gopal PN, District Manager,Thrissur and Sri.Yusaf MP, Accountant, Malappuram handled the classes.
